The elastic coefficient of the air spring, that is, the softness and hardness of the spring, can be automatically adjusted according to the needs. When the vehicle is running at high speed, the air spring becomes hard to improve the stability of the vehicle. When encountering poor road conditions, the air spring becomes softer and improves the comfort of the vehicle. sex. The suspension system on a hazmat liquid heavy-duty truck is usually air suspension. The common fault of the air suspension of the semi-trailer is that the air bag is airless or the air bag is wrinkled. The reasons for these two situations are different, and the treatment methods are also different. In actual encounters, they should be treated differently:
1. The air bag of semi-trailer air suspension is airless.
This situation is relatively simple to check, as long as we understand the air path structure of the air suspension, where to start. The air source of the air suspension is connected by the braking system, passed through the pressure protection valve, and stored in a special air storage tank. When working, it goes through the filter to the core component of the air suspension - the height control valve, and then to the left and right air bags.
Reasons why Special Semi-Trailer air bag of the air suspension is airless
1. There is no air or low pressure in the air storage tank for air suspension. In order to ensure that the braking system has sufficient pressure, when the air pressure of the trailer is lower than 0.6MPA, the pressure protection valve will suspend the air supply to the air suspension air storage tank.
2. The air line is blocked or discounted, but the air is not enough.
3. The height control valve connecting rod falls off.
4. The height control valve is damaged.
Solution to the airless air bag of semi-trailer air suspension
1. Adjust and replace the bent and blocked trachea.
2. Adjust the connecting rod of the installation height control valve.
3. Replace the height control valve.
2. Low boy trailer air bag of the air suspension has air, but the air bag is wrinkled.
Causes of air pockets may be:
1. When the vehicle is transported and hoisted, the airbag is stretched out a lot, and it is not reset normally, causing the airbag to wrinkle.
2. When the vehicle enters or leaves the maintenance workshop or a large slope, it may also cause the individual airbags to be overstretched, causing the airbags to wrinkle.
The solution to low boy trailer airbag wrinkles
Disconnect the connection between the rubber connector under the vertical rod of the height control valve and the axle, lift the rod up, wait for all air bags to be fully inflated, and then put the rod back, and the air bags can return to normal state. In addition, if this kind of failure often occurs during driving, it is necessary to consider adding a limit device between the axle and the frame.
Semi-trailer air suspension height adjustment method
1. Park the trailer on a level ground and release the handbrake;
2. Loosen the horizontal bar with the height valve, adjust the handle, turn the airbag upward to inhale, and the airbag rises; turn the airbag downward to exhaust, and the airbag descends.
3. Note that the adjustment height of the airbag is plus or minus 30mm of the standard height.
